rogram Ramadhan: Care For Hunger adalah satu projek bermusim yang dilaksanakan oleh Islamic Relief di seluruh dunia dengan tujuan untuk membekalkan bantuan makanan asas kepada asnaf fakir dan miskin di dalam & luar negara (15 buah negara) semasa bulan Ramadhan. Melalui program ini, penerima manfaat akan dibekalkan dengan pek makanan yang mengandungi makanan asas dan seimbang nutrisinya; karbohidrat, tenaga, protein dan lemak seperti beras, gula, tepung, minyak masak, garam dan lain-lain.

Program Ramadhan: Care For Hunger dijalankan secara serentak melalui cawangan-cawangan Islamic Relief di seluruh dunia termasuk Malaysia. Pek makanan yang diagihkan berisi makanan asasi mengikut kesesuaian budaya dan geografi penduduk di negara tersebut.

Setiap pek  dijangka akan dapat menampung bekalan makanan untuk berbuka puasa bagi sebuah keluarga yang terdiri daripada tiga ke lima orang selama satu bulan pada bulan Ramadhan. Penerima manfaat terpilih adalah terdiri daripada golongan fakir, miskin, ibu tunggal, anak-anak yatim, golongan orang kelainan upaya, warga emas dan golongan yang layak mengikut pemerhatian serta kriteria yang ditetapkan oleh IRM. Born 1979 - Orange, CA. I grew up in Carlsbad, CA. Went to school at UCLA and studied history. Was photo editor for the Daily Bruin my senior year. Graduated 2001. Then got a job at Loyola Marymount University as the campus photographer. Then moved to Nashville in 2003 and started shooting music. Then met my wife, married her, and moved back to Los Angeles in 2008.

Huawei announces octa-core Honor 6

The Chinese smartphone maker Huawei has announced the Honor 6, a high-end model that is squarely aimed at the the competition's flagship devices, such as Apple's iPhone 5s, the Samsung Galaxy S5, HTC One M8 or Sony Xperia Z2.

Mobile photographers will find the Honor 6's camera specification decent but not specifically groundbreaking. The Huawei uses the 13MP 1/3-inch IMX214 BSI CMOS sensor that we've also seen on the OnePlus One. The lens offers a fast F2.0 aperture but there is no talk of an optical image stabilization system. A dual-LED flash is also on board. At the front a 5MP unit provides plenty of pixels for self-portraits, an F2.4 aperture and wide 88 degree field of view.

With only 6.5mm thickness and the bezels surrounding the 5-inch 1080p screen measuring less than 3mm the Honor 6 is a sleek-looking device and only weighs 135 grams. Inside the Android 4.4.2 OS and Huawei's Emotion UI are powered by Huawei's own Kirin 920 octa-core chipset, which in benchmark tests has scored higher than Qualcomm's current top-end chip, the Snapdragon 805. 

In terms of memory the Honor 6 offers 3GB of RAM and users can choose between 16 or 32GB of internal storage. There is also a microSD-card slot for those who need more space to store photos, music, video and other files. There is no word yet on pricing and availability.

Peter Sanders [ Photographer ]

Peter Sanders began his career in the mid 1960s as one of London's key photographers of rock musicians. His pictures of Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, The Rolling Stones, The Who and many others performing are classics of the genre.

In 1970, he set off for India, cameras in hand. He travelled for seven months. This trip became a spiritual odyssey that led him onto Morocco and thereafter to the Holy cities of Makkah and Madinah, where he photographed the hajj, at a time when few professional photographers had access to Islam's holiest sanctuaries.

For the last two years, Peter Sanders Photography began the immense task of scanning and thus digitalizing his vast collection of over a quarter of a million transparencies to create islamicimages.com which will be the first on-line website dedicated to the Islamic world. Once it is launched, historical and other important collections will be added. Estimated launch date  2013.

Vassilis Tangoulis - an art photographer (black and white)

Vassilis Tangoulis leads a double carrier as an academic teacher-Lecturer  and a fine art photographer. He is a physicist working in the Chemistry department in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and  despite his full time carrier has also found success following his lifetime passion of photography. He has been a recipient of international award for his Black and White long exposure work.

Photography is a 4D object leaving its footprint, its “trace,” in a 2D layer. When this happens for a 3D object, it is easy for a mind to visualize its 3D morphology. In order to envision a 4D object, however, one needs the power of Fine Art photography.

He was born in a small Greek town –Karpenisi surrounded by mountains and was really lucky to be a “village” boy. He had the opportunity to see sceneries that influenced his viewpoint and perspective and maybe unconsciously defined the absolute meanings of words like “sunset”, “snow”, and many others; all important ingredients of a landscape photographer. He left Karpenisi at the age of 11 and spent some 20 years in different towns and the last 10 years Vassilis lives in Patras, a beautiful town near the sea. Neutral density filters came into his life and a new surrealistic world has been revealed…From that moment he gives all his creativity to elaborate and explore this new world.

For him Fine Art photography is an alternative way to express a common subject so that each individual artist can reveal secret aspects about it. In order to do this, each artist experiments with light, time, and spatial coordinates– and then through one’s processing, one reveals a subject framed in a transformed world in which its dimensions can be easily described and visualized.
He always try to leave a message behind his photos. For him every photo has symbolic meanings and sometimes he leaves the symbols to speak for themselves but there are times he has to give a guidance and this is usually the title he chooses for a collection. He works with collections of photos (sets of 5 or more) and this because he always needs a concept when he takes photographs. Taking a photo is always a serious matter for him and if there is no concept or no message prefers to stay silent. After all Ansel Adams said it much better : “When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.”

Harini nak share sedikit mengenai custom colour yang boleh di adaptasi kepada kerja seni kita. Apa yang di maksudkan adalah Kuler.

Kuler adalah keluaran adobe yang merupakan syarikat gergasi daripada US khas untuk pengemar seni digital terutamanya grafik dan fotografi. Sekiranya anda buntu untuk mendapatkan warna khusus ataupun bagaimana hendak memastikan warna yang anda gunakan itu sepadan dengan warna asal, ini lah tujuan Kuler di wujudkan.

Tanpa melengahkan masa, saya akan tunjukkan cara penggunaan kuler ini.

Saya memilih "wedding trend" kerana inginkan warna tema yang klasik bagi foto saya. Klik pada menu "wedding trend" itu dan ia akan paparkan kelima-lima warna yang di pilih tadi, klik pada butang edit dan ia akan memaparkan kod warna (RGB) & HEX. Ini memudahkan anda untuk memasukkan kod warna ke dalam photoshop ataupun illustrator bagi mendapatkan warna yang anda pilih di Kuler tadi.
