Logo Design Love for Edinburgh Napier

David Airey, lulusan daripada Edinburgh Napier pada tahun 2002 dengan gelaran BA (Hons) Komunikasi Grafik, baru-baru ini telah menerbitkan buku pertamanya - Logo Design Love: A Guide to Creating Iconic Brand Identities.

Sementara di Edinburgh Napier, David memenangi biasiswa perjalanan dan menghabiskan masa tiga bulan di Yayasan Seni Teknik Grafik di Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Setelah lulus, beliau mengajar Bahasa Inggeris sebagai bahasa kedua di Sepanyol, sebelum kembali ke UK untuk pasca-lulusan diploma dalam pengurusan. Setelah itu ia bekerja di penjualan iklan untuk The scotsman, dan sebagai petugas untuk Myeloma penerbitan Inggeris, sebuah pusat amal barah di Edinburgh.

Pada tahun 2005, beliau melancarkan perniagaan sendiri sebagai penulis dan pencipta identiti ( brand identity designer )

Setelah lima tahun dan sekitar 70 identiti klien, beliau kemudiannya menulis buku pertamanya, Logo Design Love: A Guide to Creating Iconic Brand Identities, diterbitkan oleh Peachpit berasaskan.

Tom Geismar, AIGA pingat dan desainer terkenal di dunia identiti untuk Mobil Oil, National Geographic, dan NBC, beliau berkata;

"Siapa pun yang terlibat dalam mencipta identiti visual, atau ingin belajar bagaimana untuk pergi tentang itu, akan mendapati buku ini tak ternilai."

David Airey, who graduated from Edinburgh Napier in 2002 with a BA (Hons) in Graphic Communications, has recently had his first book - Logo Design Love: A Guide to Creating Iconic Brand Identities – published.

While at Edinburgh Napier, David won a travel bursary and spent three months interning at the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
After graduating, he taught English as a second language in Spain, before returning to the UK for a post-grad diploma in management.  Afterward he worked in advertising sales for The Scotsman, and as publications officer for Myeloma UK, an Edinburgh-based cancer charity.

In 2005, he launched his own business as a design author and brand identity designer. 

Five years and approximately 70 brand identity clients later, he has recently written his first book, Logo Design Love: A Guide to Creating Iconic Brand Identities, published by US-based Peachpit.
